(1 CE hour) Depositions are critical in personal injury cases because your testimony is necessary to prove your patient’s case, and the defense attorney can cross-examine you to poke holes in that case. Preparing for a deposition starts at the very first visit of every single PI case. Your records should be legible and complete. Your billing should be consistent and accurate. If you cut corners (e.g., copying and pasting the same paragraph into many PI reports or using the same billing codes in every trauma case), it may come out in deposition which will not only damage your patient’s chances of recovery in the matter but may also damage your reputation as a medical provider as deposition transcripts are public record. Correlation of Western medicine neurology and the aspect of pain in comparison to the Chinese medicine viewpoint of what actually causes pain. Different acupuncture needling techniques will be shown to treat pain related to headache, all spinal related conditions as well as upper and lower extremity conditions. A review of the normal local acupuncture point selections will be presented. Detailed techniques in Distal needling, Extra points and various Master Tung points for the related areas of the body being treated. This process helps doctors to reduce coding problems and risk management issues that are created by the use of continual wellness care without taking into account the patient’s true condition because the true nature of the condition was not documented correctly. |
