How to Help Those Affected by Hurricane Harvey

The Texas Chiropractic Association, Texas Chiropractic College and Parker University have teamed up to create a fund for Texan chiropractors who have been affected by the storm. Monetary and chiropractic equipment donations are being requested. Learn more about C.H.I.R.O.

ACA leadership requests that if you know of any member who has been seriously affected by the storm and subsequent flooding, please pass that information on to ACA Vice President Dr. Karen Konarski-Hart at [email protected]. Dr. Konarski-Hart, a trained disaster relief responder, offers this additional information for those who wish to help in some way:

  • Texas emergency response has requested that no "items" be sent until needs are assessed and infrastructure for receiving is secured. Also remember that your local charities still need your contributions.
  • Please do not go to the affected areas unless you are a member of an organized team. Those areas are already overwhelmed and supplies of food, water and gas are in short supply. You do not need to become a burden on an already burdened system.

Dr. Yvette Nadeau is setting up a team of Chiropractors who want to volunteer to help first responders and those directly affected by the storm. If you are a Chiropractor or Massage Therapist who would like to volunteer. Must have a current Texas License.  Here is the link to her post:

The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters. The Red Cross has launched major relief efforts in Texas and Louisiana in the wake of catastrophic flooding from Hurricane Harvey.

There are 3 ways to make your donation to the American Red Cross:
