Systems-Based Rehabilitation for New Chiropractors
A system is “a set of principles or procedures according to which something is done; an organized framework or method”.  In healthcare and chiropractic, a well-designed system informs and guides care, regardless of who is seeking treatment from a chiropractor. This system doesn’t imply that everyone will receive the same treatment or even have the same goals or outcomes.  It can provide a level of certainty or a standard operating procedure on how to assess a patient and proceed with treatment based upon evidence-informed findings. The proposed system will involve a variety of different assessment tools, treatment techniques, exercises, equipment, etc.   However, it guides clinical decision-making based on good information instead of a treatment plan based on trial and error.

Learning Outcomes:
At the conclusion of the program, participants will learn how to leverage systems in physical  rehabilitation through;
1. Reviewing the importance of patient-centered assessments and how to implement them.
2. Comprehending how diagnostic accuracy helps the doctor provide patient-centered care.
3. Distinguishing the patient from the condition.
3. Realizing that synthesis of a system and application of patient-centered treatment is the goal

Course Content:
45 minutes: Review template for designing a system-based care program for new chiropractors.
45 minutes: Review of case study and hands on application of system.
Total: 1.5 hours
