TCLC Schedule

Why You Need to be at TCLC

1)     TCA Legislative Day (Thursday, Feb. 9) – 2017 is probably the most important year in the history of chiropractic in Texas. Your right to diagnose is at risk and next year's session is a great opportunity to rewrite the law. Join us for a quick debrief on TCA's proposed bills before embarking on scheduled visits with your legislators at the Texas Capitol. It’s a prime opportunity to educate elected officials about chiropractic and TCA’s primary bills during the 85th Texas Legislative Session.

2)     TCLC Legislative Reception – Wrap up an exciting TCA Legislative Day by joining TCLC attendees, legislators and staff at this social event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at the historic Scholz Garten, a few blocks from the State Capitol. The reception is co-sponsored by Parker UniversityOUM and Texas Chiropractic College.

3)     Valuable Updates – Learn more about the key issues impacting chiropractic nationally and in Texas and how to get involved.

4)     Legislative General Session & Awards Luncheon – Join us as TCA recognizes our chiropractic champions in the Texas House and Senate and hear from TCA’s legislative team about the legislative session.

5)     Continuing Education – Earn up to 16 CE hours toward your Texas license. Dennis Marchiori, DC, of Palmer College of Chiropractic will reveal new research that could be a game-changer for the chiropractic profession (Chiropractic Identity and Public Perception). Featured speakers include chiropractic icon Louis Sportelli, DC (Standards of Professional Behavior: Communications – The Real Risk Management Approach!) and Parker University President Bill Morgan, DC (The Chiropractic Adjustment and the Science of Core Stability).

Other speakers include Mark Charrette, DC (Adjusting the Typical Foot and Adjusting the Typical Wrist and Elbow); Lucas Gafken, DC, DACNB (The Neuroendocrine Immunology of Exercise); and Larry Montgomery, DC (TBCE Required Course).
