TCC “Skeleton crew” and the Houston Dragon Boat Festival

The Texas Dragon Boat Association seeks to promote the tradition of dragon boating, increase awareness of Asian and Asian-American culture, and enhance cross-cultural understanding. The Texas Dragon Boat Association hosts dragon boating festivals during Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, featuring cultural performances, food, and artisans. 
Houston now has several year round teams, from leisure teams all the way to professional traveling teams. We are now accepting team entries forms and event sponsors.  The TCC Skeleton Crew is putting together an alumni team for the May Regatta.  They seek to pit the alumni team against a current-student team.

Why Can’t We Just Forget About Medicine and Just Do Our Own Thing? Making the Determination

For those who promote “Let’s forget organized medicine and just do our own thing,” what will you do about those who espouse the following policies?

Comment:  Organized medicine desires to make the determination of the appropriate level of supervision, education, training, and provision of services by non-physicians.   Do you want organized medicine making the determination of what is appropriate for you when they have stated that they do not apply standards equitably?

Excerpt:  AMA will convene a task force to develop principles to guide advocacy efforts aimed at addressing the appropriate level of supervision, education, training and provision of other invasive procedures by non-physicians including those employing radiologic imaging.

Comment:  Organized medicine plans to "educate the general public and legislators" about the "differences between physician and non-physician providers."  They will advance their superiority over "non-physicians."

Who is educating the general public and legislators on your behalf?  Are you helping or just "riding along?"
