The countdown is on for Chiro Texpo ’18, TCA’s annual convention. It’s only three weeks until TCA’s signature event coming up June 8-10 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.

Regular registration ends May 25 … don’t wait! Register online today or call the TCA office at (512) 477-9292.

Whether you’ve already registered or are still on the fence, here are just a few of the highlights:

1)      Orthopedic Diplomate – One of the goals of TCA’s Education & Events Committee is to integrate Diplomate programs into the schedule. Having a Diplomate next to your name increases your marketability and you’ll benefit directly from the extra knowledge you pick up. This year, the spotlight is on the Diplomate of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (DACO). TCA is rolling out the kickoff course, Best Practices for Managing Lower Back Pain, featuring Dr. Tim Bertlesman. The remaining in-person courses will be co-hosted by the Texas Council of Chiropractic Orthopedists (TCCO) and TCA later this year, in addition to the online courses offered by Bridgeport University.

There’s no additional cost to attend the Diplomate course at Chiro Texpo ’18; it’s included in your registration fee. Whether your goal is to become a DACO or you simply want the information from the course, it’s a win-win situation.

2)      Texas Women’s Chiropractic Summit – Gender balance is coming to chiropractic, with half of today’s chiropractic students females. Recognizing this trend and the unique challenges of being a female in a male-dominated profession, TCA is proud to bring the inaugural Texas Women’s Chiropractic Summit to Chiro Texpo ’18. Social media star Dr. Danielle Eaton of Aligned Women will teach a workshop titled Creating Balance in Life and Practice Through Intentional Business Design.

If you’re a chiropractic mom or a female chiropractor struggling to find the right balance between work and career, this program will prove to informative and inspiring!

3)      The Business of Chiropractic – Sure, we’ve got plenty of CE sessions (including the Medicare and TBCE required hours) and top-notch speakers like Drs. Tony Ebel, CJ Mertz, Dan Rowe and Dan Sullivan, but there’s much more happening at Chiro Texpo ’18 outside the classroom.

If you’re looking to hire an associate or bring an extern into your clinic, sign up for the Career Fair. You can interview recent graduates, students and doctors looking for their next opportunity. There’s no cost to participate. Don’t miss Student Loan Tutor’s program on paying off your student debt and, if you’re a doctor in your first few years of practice, the New Doc Seminar is the place to learn business essentials and ask questions from experienced DCs. Finally, the place to make deals is the Texpo Hall; visit with 60+ vendors offering products and services to take your practice to the next level.

4)      Training for Your Staff – Send your team to Chiro Texpo ’18 to attend A-Z for the Chiropractic Assistant taught my master trainer Phyllis Frase-Charrette. Your staff will learn new systems and procedures to make your office more efficient, discover how to bring in new patients and increase referrals and get a high-level look at chiropractic philosophy.
