New Leadership Takes TCA Reins

Chiro Texpo ’17 wasn’t just a celebration of the past year in Texas chiropractic, but it also represented a change in leadership. 

At the Awards Gala & Celebration, TCA installed its three executive officers. Max Vige, DC, of League City is the new TCA president, succeeding Tyce Hergert, DC, of Grapevine. Devin Pettiet, DC, of Tomball was appointed as vice president, while Chad Carpenter, DC, of Boerne was named secretary/treasurer.

Drs. Vige and Pettiet moved up from the vice president and secretary/treasurer positions, respectively. Dr. Carpenter previously served as District 10’s state director.

At the closing TCA Board of Directors Meeting, the new state directors were sworn into their positions. 

State directors include:

  • District 1: Oliver (Tony) Smith III, DC, El Paso
  • District 2: Robert Ehle, DC, Amarillo
  • District 3: Jenna Hillman, DC, Lubbock
  • District 4: Steve Sanders, DC, Fort Worth
  • District 5: Andrea McDonald, DC, Garland
  • District 6: Tucker Woods, DC, Longview
  • District 7: Ryan Bailey, DC, Abilene
  • District 8; Audrey VanDeWalle, Round Rock
  • District 9: Greg Peter, DC, Huntsville
  • District 10: Josh Bonine, DC, San Antonio
  • District 11: Jose Simon, DC, Houston
  • District 12: Tom Hollingsworth, DC, Corpus Christi

Rounding out the board is Daniel Gutierrez, DC, of San Antonio, who returned as TCA’s parliamentarian.

Stepping off the board are Jeff Williams, DC, of Amarillo and Lorin Wolf, DC, of Early. Drs. Williams and Wolf were state directors for Districts 2 and 7, respectively. 

TCA’s executive committee remains intact, with all four department coordinators returning: Craig Benton, DC, Lampasas (Scientific Affairs); Jeff Hogan, DC, Sugar Land (External Affairs); Steve Van Osdale, DC, Lubbock (Internal Affairs); Todd Whitehead, DC, Amarillo (Governmental Affairs). 

Key committee chairs are Tom Hollingsworth, DC, Corpus Christi (Litigation); Steve Minors, DC, Austin (State Affairs); Alayna Pagnani-Gendron, DC, Houston (Membership); Benjamin Casey Quiroz, DC, Odessa (Public Relations); Don White, DC, Fort Worth (Legislative Affairs); and Amy Wood (Insurance Relations)
