Chiropractic Legend Dan Murphy Headlines Chiro Texpo ’17 Line-Up

It’s taken a few years, but the Texas Chiropractic Association is proud to welcome the legendary Dan Murphy, DC, DABCO, as a featured speaker at Chiro Texpo ’17, TCA’s annual convention on June 9-11 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.  

A veteran with nearly four decades of practice experience, Dr. Murphy has taught more than 1,600 continuing education seminars in the U.S. and around the world on topics ranging from whiplash and spinal trauma, neuroimmunology and pediatrics to phospholipid neurobiology, neurophysiology of therapeutic lasers and nutrition. A graduate of Western States Chiropractic College, Dr. Murphy is on the post-graduate faculty of several chiropractic colleges.

Dr. Murphy is a prolific author and has won numerous awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Association of Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation.

At Chiro Texpo ’17, Dr. Murphy will present three sessions:


  • Concepts on Prolonging the Health Span (4 CE hours) – Sponsored by Nutri-West of Texas, this session will cover the integration of four key nutritional concepts: inflammation, insulin resistance, healthy eating and required supplements.

 


  • Practical Applications for Low-Level Laser Hormesis (4 CE hours) – Sponsored by Erchonia, this session will review the concept of biological hormesis and show how it applies in the clinical setting to low-level laser therapy. Relevant studies will be used to support the concept and clinical applications.
  • Understanding Whiplash Mechanics and the Relationship with Minor Impact Collisions (2 CE hours) – Learn how to integrate minor whiplash mechanics with the biomechanics of passenger/patient whiplash injury. 

Chiro Texpo ’17 has been approved for a maximum of 19 CE hours by the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners (TBCE). TCA also has applied for approval with the chiropractic boards in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma. Stay tuned for details!
