The Battle Continues … Join TCA at TCLC in Austin!

TCA and chiropractic won round one during the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission’s review of the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners (TBCE) last week. While the Sunset Commission clarified that Doctors of Chiropractic can diagnose, the battle is far from over and the ongoing threats from the Texas Medical Association (TMA) are very real. Ultimately, this will require approval from the Texas Legislature, so there is still plenty of work to be done. And TCA needs you to make that happen!

Join us at the 2017 Texas Chiropractic Legislative Conference (TCLC) – the single most important event of the year for chiropractic in Texas – on Feb. 9-11 in Austin. It’s our chance to Take the Capitol by Storm for Chiropractic!
Make your plans to attend TCA Legislative Day on Thursday, Feb. 9. After a legislative briefing, participate in scheduled visits with your state senator and representative. Our mission is to educate elected officials about chiropractic and gain champions for TCA’s legislative agenda to advance chiropractic and expand access for Texans for the health care provider of their choice. The day concludes with the TCLC Legislative Reception at Scholz Garden, a few blocks from the Capitol.

Other TCLC highlights include:
  • A two-day educational conference (Friday, Feb. 10, and Saturday, Feb. 11) – Earn all 16 CE hours in one place. Confirmed speakers include chiropractic legend Dr. Louis Sportelli, Parker University President Dr. Bill Morgan and Dr. Dennis Marchiori of Palmer College of Chiropractic.
  • TCLC Legislative Awards & Luncheon
  • In-depth training for your chiropractic assistant and staff
  • Opportunity to network with other DCs as well as sponsors and vendors offering products and services to help you grow your practice
Register online today! As a TCA member, you’ll save off your registration fee and TCLC is FREE for TCA Elite and Premium members. There’s no cost to attend TCA Legislative Day, although a minimum $50 donation to the Chiropractic Development Initiative (CDI) is recommended.

Make your hotel reservations online at the Sheraton Austin Hotel at The Capitol by Jan. 16.

Remember, it will take legislative action to change our laws in Texas. This also will help TCA’s case as it appeals the decision in the TMA vs. TBCE (diagnosis) law suit early next year.
