Texas Chiropractic Association Endorses Sen. Dan Patrick for Lieutenant Governor

The Texas Chiropractic Association, the largest professional association representing Texas' 5,000+ licensed Chiropractors today announced its endorsement of Sen. Dan Patrick for Lieutenant Governor.

"Doctors of Chiropractic understand the importance of public service and the enormous personal sacrifices made by citizen legislators like Dan Patrick. He has proven himself to be an aggressive and effective conservative voice for the citizens of District 7 in the Texas Senate, and has provided that kind of leadership across the state. We appreciate his accessibility as a state Senator and look forward to the day when as President of the Texas Senate, he will work with Senators like Dr. Bob Deuell to advance those issues which will enhance the health and well-being of Texans across all regions of the state.

"We know we can count on Dan Patrick to defend the right of all Texans to choose their preferred health care providers, and to lead the Senate in seeking and finding common-sense solutions to the growing need for qualified providers in every region of the state," said Dr. Jack Albracht, D.C., President of the Texas Chiropractic Association.

A growing body of scientific evidence suggests that for many common but serious ailments like non-specific back pain, conservative treatment by chiropractors yields highly positive outcomes for the vast majority of patients. Texas' Licensed Chiropractors provide conservative treatment to patients within the state's mandated scope of practice, assessing, evaluating and treating a variety of conditions related to musculoskeletal systems of the human body.

Conservative treatment by chiropractors avoids the use of addictive prescription pain medications, spinal injections, or surgeries, all of which are more costly or pose higher risks for patients.
