Governor Abbott Names Presiding Officer And Appoints Three To Texas Board Of Chiropractic Examiners

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Dr. Nicholas “Nick” Baucum, Dr. Mark Bronson and Gus Ramirez to the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners for terms to expire on February 1, 2021. Additionally, Governor Abbott has named Bronson as presiding officer. The board is responsible for regulating the practice of chiropractic.

Mark Bronson, D.C. of Fort Worth is a chiropractor and owner of the Bronson Clinic, Inc. He is a member of the Texas Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic Association and Texas Council of Chiropractic Orthopedists. He is a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America and a former volunteer for the Rotary Club of Western Fort Worth. Bronson received a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from The University of Texas at Austin, a Doctor of Chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College and a certification in Chiropractic Orthopedics from Parker University.

Nicholas “Nick” Baucum, D.C. of Corpus Christi is an associate chiropractor at Armadillo Sport Chiropractic. He is an Eagle Scout and former volunteer for Marathon Kids. Baucum received a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from The University of Texas and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker University.

Gus Ramirez of Tyler is the owner of Gus’ Mexican Restaurant. He is a former member of the Texas Community Development Block Grant Review Committee, East Texas Fair Association, Tyler Junior College Oil and Mineral Lease Committee, Tyler Metro Chamber Board, Tyler Independent School District Advisory Committee, T.K. Gorman School Advisory Board, Tyler YMCA Board and Tyler Junior College Mid-Management Board. He formerly served as a city council member and mayor pro-tem for the city of Tyler and as the Smith County Commissioner. Ramirez received an Associate of Arts in business management from Tyler Junior College and a Bachelor of Arts in applied science from The University of Texas at Tyler.
