TBCE: August 20, 2015 General Report

Through July 2015, the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners (TBCE) has issued 277 new DC licenses (including 11 reinstatements), 19 new rad tech licenses, and 418 new facility registrations. 

There have been 5,531 DC license renewals (including 568 inactive renewals), 83 rad tech license renewals, and 3,444 facility registration renewals. 

As of August 7, there were 5,119 actively licensed DCs, 322 DCs with CE- conditional licenses, 602 inactive DCs, 18 probated DCs, 5 suspended DCs, and 282 expired DCs.

There were 100 actively licensed rad techs and 46 expired rad techs. Finally, there were 4,216 actively registered facilities and 178 expired facilities. 

During the past eleven months TBCE closed 257 complaints– 38.74% of them were closed with some form of discipline (fine, suspension, etc).

From September 1, 2014 to July 31, 2015, the agency has collected a total of $2,494,694 in total revenue. Total agency appropriations for the Fiscal Year 2015 are $758,343, excluding benefits for social security, retirement and insurance. The agency has spent approximately $694,740.09 for operating expenses during the first eleven months of Fiscal Year 2015.
