Major staffing changes are taking place at the TBCE.  Yvette Yarbrough, Executive Director, and Ariethia Middleton, Chief Financial Officer, will be leaving the TBCE.

Yvette Yarbrough

The Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners (TBCE) Executive Director Yvette Yarbrough is resigning as TBCE Executive Director to work for another state agency practicing law.  Says Yarbrough, “it is with a very heavy heart that I announce my resignation as Executive Director of the TBCE.  I have accepted a position with another state agency where I will return to the practice of law.  My last day will be Friday, August 21, which allows me to finish out business at the Board meeting being held on August 20th."

TBCE President Dr. Cynthia Tays and General Counsel will “handle ongoing issues” until a replacement is hired.  Yvette has served as the TBCE Executive Director for the past four years.  She has worked hard to improve the functioning of the TBCE.  Her parting words for Texas Doctors of Chiropractic are “I thank each of you for your service to the patients of the State of Texas.  I encourage you to stay involved with the regulation of your practice.  Having an engaged licensee base has made this position enjoyable…."

Ariethia Middleton

The TBCE’s Chief Financial Officer is retiring on August 31. Having served the State of Texas for over 23 years Ms. Middleton started work with the TBCE in 2008 and greatly improved the fiscal operation of the agency.  During Ms. Middleton’s tenure the agency has garnered praise from the Texas Comptroller’s Office and done well on audits.
