Dr. Thomas A. Klesmit, age 57, died April 6, 2012, with his wife and children praying at his side. He was under hospice care at his home in Heath, Texas, following a courageous battle with metastatic cancer. Tom was born November 17, 1954, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, to Audrey (Lukasavitz) Klesmit and the late Clarence Klesmit. He attended Wis. Rapids Howe and St. Vincent de Paul Grade Schools, Assumption High School (1970-1972) and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1973. He attended Marquette University until the time of his father’s death in 1975. After returning home to assist his mother, he later returned to college at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. He later transferred from U.W. Stevens Point and graduated from Viterbo College in La Crosse, Wisconsin in 1980 with a double major in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Science.
On May 30, 1981, Tom was united in marriage to Ann B. Henke in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. They lived in the La Crosse area for several years, working at various hospital and nursing home facilities. During this time both Ann and Tom became commissioned officers in the U.S. Army Nursing Reserve Corps as Second Lieutenants. They later decided to become Doctors of Chiropractic and moved to Davenport, Iowa.
In March 1985, Tom graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic with a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. He was licensed to practice Chiropractic in Texas in 1985. In 1985, Tom and Ann moved to Dallas, Texas. Dr. Tom worked at Parker College of Chiropractic as an instructor in Irving, Texas, while Ann remained in Davenport to complete her Chiropractic Degree. In January 1986, Drs. Tom and Ann Klesmit opened Klesmit Chiropractic in Garland, Texas.
In 1988, Tom became post graduate certified in Industrial Consulting from Northwestern Chiropractic College and created Preventech, Inc. where he taught doctors how to help corporations to prevent on-the-job injuries. In 1991, he became post graduate certified in Manipulation under Anesthesia. During this time he served as Chairman of the Tri-City Osteopathic Hospital. Concurrently, he opened two rehabilitation facilities for the post-surgical treatment of these patients. In 1996, he and Dr. Ann built Nutrition for Life International business helping people improve their health through better nutrition. During this time he spoke throughout the world.
Dr. Tom treated patients at Klesmit Chiropractic, P.C., until he became ill in 2009. He was honored for his work within the chiropractic community. He received the following awards from the Texas Chiropractic Association: 2008 District Five Medallion Club Leadership Award, 2008 Legislative Leadership Award, 2009 District Five Distinguished Service Award, 2009 District Five Pursuit of Excellence Award, 2010 A.C.A. fellowship of the International College of Chiropractic Award and the 2011 Dr. Thomas Klesmit Leadership Award. While he enjoyed a successful career, Tom's greatest pleasure came from his family.
Tom is survived by his spouse Dr. Ann Klesmit of Heath, TX; his mother Audrey Klesmit of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; his sons Brandon 16 and Jordan 14; his daughters Destiny 17 and Deja Klesmit 10; his brother Dr. Timothy Klesmit and sister-in-law Diane Klesmit and their son Ryan of Arlington, TX, and their daughter Lindsey Klesmit Hargrove, Tom’s Goddaughter, her husband Jeremy and their son Dillinger of California; his sister Candace Ziemer and brother-in-law Dr. Terry Ziemer of Scottsdale, AZ. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Klesmit. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00pm. Memorial contributions for the Klesmit children may be made to Klesmit Family Trust c/o American National Bank 972-771-8361.

Dr. Stephen Douglas Capps September 15, 1946 - May 6, 2011.
Dr. Stephen D. Capps passed away in Amberg, Germany on Friday, May 6, 2011. Stephen graduated from Liberty High School, Lamar University and the Texas Chiropractic College (in 1983). During his long and distinguished career as a chiropractor, he developed his own private practice in Spring, Texas and completed a postgraduate specialty in Chiropractic Orthopedics. He was board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists, a Fellow of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists, and Immediate Past President of the American College of Chiropractic Orthopedists. Stephen was a leader and visionary for the chiropractic orthopedic specialty. He received the Distinguished Fellow award for his dedication and service to the specialty in 2007. Stephen was elected into the International College of Chiropractors as a Fellow in 2007.
He entered into service for his country in May 1969, joining the Texas National Guard and serving with the 71st Airborne Brigade, the 36th Airborne Brigade and Company G, Airborne Ranger (LRRP), 143rd Infantry.
Steve served in the U.S. Army Reserve with the 75th Division and the 5025th Garrison Support Unit, Fort Carson, Colorado. In 1990 and 1991, he served in Kuwait in support of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Following a long career in the U.S. Army, Stephen retired from the U.S.A.R. while serving as a Command Sergeant Major.
Stephen combined his passion for helping his patients as a Doctor of Chiropractic and serving his country while in the Army Reserve. He was one of the first chiropractors to serve in the military chiropractic program, when it was a pilot program with only 5 clinics. He opened clinics in Ft. Benning, Georgia , Ft. Carson, Colorado and Ft. Campbell, Kentucky .
In 2010, Stephen entered the U.S. Civil Service as a Chiropractor providing care to our U.S. Army troops and was instrumental in setting up the first Chiropractic clinic at Bavaria MEDDAC, United States Army Health Clinic,
Vilseck, Germany.
His family is deeply grateful to his friends and co-workers at the MEDDAC Clinic and the Vilseck Military Community . The staff of Klinikum St. Marien, Amberg, Germany will always be remembered for their professionalism and kind care of Stephen during his illness.

Henry A. Jaehne, DC, 87, passed away on March 25, 2011. He was born on October 8, 1923 in Rockdale, Texas to Henry and Alma Jaehne.
Henry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Doris Ann Jaehne; his children: Gordon and wife Hilda Jaehne, Robert and wife Sheryl Jaehne, Brian and wife Cindy Jaehne, David and wife JoAnn Jaehne and Annette and husband Mark Erskine; his grandchildren: Christopher Jaehne, Ryan Jaehne, Sean Jaehne, Jennifer and husband Brian Egan, Jessica and husband Wes Rankin, Michael Jaehne, Sarah Jaehne, Emily Erskine and Erin Erskine; great grandchildren: Hunter, Jacob, Jordyn, Scarlett and Irie; First Cousin who was a like a sister to him, Lucy Somers.
Henry grew up in Burnet, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. He was part of the 78th Infantry Division that captured the Remagen bridge – the only standing bridge crossing the Rhine River. Among his battle ribbons he received three bronze stars.
Henry attended and graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1949. While attending Logan he met his wife Doris.
From 1949 – 1962, Henry and Doris with their five children lived and maintained a chiropractic practice in Burnet Texas. In 1963 Henry moved his family to Houston.
He purchased a residential property in the Sharpstown neighborhood of Houston from a Lutheran church that served as its sanctuary and the residence for its minister. He remodeled this house to serve as the family residence and a chiropractic office that opened for business in 1964.
That was a time in Sharpstown when there were more rabbits and dewberries than neighborhood homes. But within a short time the neighborhood grew and so did his practice. Henry and Doris both worked hard to have his chiropractic practice flourish.
Henry retired from his practice in 2002. Henry was an avid golfer and was a member of River Bend and Sweetwater County Clubs. He was a Rotarian and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. Henry was a friend to all who knew him. He loved his Lord, loved life and loved his family with his whole heart.

Funeral services for Dr. J. C. Willmon, 85, of Levelland were held December 14, 2010 at First Baptist Church, Levelland, Texas. He died Sunday, December 12, 2010 in Levelland.
J. C. was born on January 21, 1925 in Dickens, TX to Pinkney Augustus and Mattie Ophelia Mauldin Willmon. He attended school in Afton, TX. He married Marjorie Randolph on November 22, 1942 in Afton, TX. He enlisted in the U. S. Army and served for two years. He used his GI bill to attend Texas Chiropractic College in San Antonio, TX, graduating from there in 1950. He opened his practice in 1951 in Levelland and retired 1990.
Dr. Willmon was a life member of TCA joining with the TCA in 1951. He served as President of the Texas Chiropractic Association and also served on their Board of Education for six years. He was active with Youth Baseball and was Past President of the Levelland Chamber of Commerce. He was one who constituted the Levelland Primitive Baptist Church and served as a Deacon of the congregation until his death. Dr. Willmon's Grandson, Paul, is a D.C. in Cypress.

The Honorable Bob Glaze of Gilmer, Texas, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2010, at the age of 82.
Representative Glaze served in the Texas House of Representatives representing Upshur County from 1991 to 2003, the 72nd through the 77th Legislative Sessions.
Born on Nov. 20, 1927, in Smith County to Ben A. and Erin Shelton Glaze. Bob Glaze served in the U.S. Merchant Marines and in 1948 he married Wilma Jean Franks in Tyler. Dr. Glaze received a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture from Sam Houston University and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College. He was a resident in Gilmer for 60 years, a member of First Baptist Church of Gilmer, a longtime member of Gilmer Rotary Club, past president of the Yamboree Association, past president of GISD, past president of Texas Chiropractic Association, past president Gilmer Area Chamber of Commerce, former director of First National Bank of Gilmer and former member of the Texas House of Representatives.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean Glaze of Gilmer; son and daughter-in-law; Dr. Andy and Sandra Glaze of Gilmer; daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannie and Ken Smith of Gilmer, Jill and Dr. Randy McDaniel of Gilmer; brother, Ben D. Glaze of Scroggins; sisters, Sue Everett of Diana, Una Marie Green of Palestine and Freida Melvin of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 28, 2010, at First Baptist Church located at 304 Buffalo Street, Gilmer, Texas 75644.
In lieu of flowers or other funeral remembrances, the family requests that you to go to someone you care for and tell them that Dr. Bob told you to do something nice for them.
